Designing the Women in AI website came with a unique challenge—it needed to be more than just visually appealing; it had to be welcoming, accessible, and intuitive for women of all tech backgrounds. As an initiative by FAI Institute, the program’s goal is to train and onboard more women into AI, so the website had to make sign-ups effortless while maintaining a clean, user-friendly design.
Beyond usability, the site had to feature a dynamic content banner to highlight past cohorts and inspiring women in tech, as well as a calendar to keep participants updated on upcoming events and tech meetups. Plus, as a multi-page website, it had to align seamlessly with the FAI Women in AI design language—a subset of the larger FAI Institute brand—ensuring consistency while standing out with its own identity.
The challenge? Balancing simplicity with functionality—creating an engaging, tech-forward experience that remains accessible to all women, regardless of their level of tech familiarity.
For the Women in AI website, I crafted a design that was welcoming, accessible, and intuitive, ensuring that women of all tech backgrounds could easily navigate the site and sign up for upcoming cohorts. Here’s how I tackled the project’s challenges:
The result? A thoughtfully designed, community-driven platform that makes it easier than ever for women to explore and engage with the world of AI.
